Dr Emily Kirkpatrick - GP
Dr Emily Kirkpatrick is currently is involved with medical education at both the University of Adelaide, in the Discipline of General Practice and also at GPEx, South Australia's GP training organisation. She feels very passionately about the importance of sharing knowledge and mentoring medical students. She is an innovative presenter and regularly uses digital platforms to teach in an interactive and engaging manner.
Dr Emily has a special interest in programmatic assessment and Workplace-based Assessments (WBAs). In 2018 and 2019 she worked on an RACGP grant to develop a Framework for WBAs in General Practice training is contextual and best-practice, based on 6 streams of quantitative and qualitative research. In 2020, Dr Emily Kirkpatrick, as the lead researcher has been awarded a college grant to investigate in-practice Learning Logs.
